[Aldo is staring at the device in his hand. He'd woken up on the beach, but..... Ted wasn't there. They'd been in the forest before, hadn't they? Did he ditch him again?! But then the location change... He knew Ted couldn't possibly carry him.] Where are you? Why is your voice in this... thing? Is it rune magic?

[Hmmm who was that--]

[voice]

[startraveling]

[Wait, he knows that voice. But then, how can he be--?]

[voice]

[startraveling]

[His shock is apparent, and it carries over when he speaks.] It's... you. [Ted knows this place can bring almost anyone. He had proven it can bring people he knows from varying times like Tyr and Gremio, but.]

[voice]

[Aldo would have responded with an obvious 'of course', if it wasn't for that shock. Did something happen?] Ted? Are you ok?

[There's worry there, and he's even more anxious to find him now.]

[When Aldo responds again, Ted feels this sharp pang of guilt. Could he be before the rune took his soul or... He has to find out. There's not much explanation to this other than he's here to stay. It's not a visit day, after all.]

[When Ted speaks, his tone is flat and devoid of any clear, discernible emotion.] Where are you? What do you see around you? [He'll have to deal with this stupid device later. For now, he's going to get to the bottom of this.]

Where am I....? I'm on a beach. It's odd, we weren't anywhere near the ocean last night. Are you ok? [That flat tone is somewhat concerning. Usually, Ted spoke with irritation or disdain, but.... This was....]

[startraveling]

I'm fine. You don't have to ask me again. [Was said maybe a bit too quickly and harshly than he intended. Aldo might hear Ted's footsteps as he makes his way towards the beach.] I know where that is. I'll come and see you.

.....Ok? [The response is somewhat questioning, though. He's very confused right now, and Ted's reaction isn't helping. There's something going on, something happened to get them moved around like this, but what?]

[Ted's silent for a few moments, just listening to his own footsteps. Of all the people this place will bring, it just has to be him. The guilt settles within Ted as he thinks more about this situation. After a while, he breaks the quiet.]

I'll explain everything when I get there.

Ok then. I'll wait. [.....He's kind of nervous now, though, so he'll just plunk himself in the sand to sit and wait. This place didn't look like any island he'd seen.]

You better. [Because if this is one of this place's curses, it's not funny at all. What if it's like with Sheena's mother? Not funny. Then again, his Mom didn't talk to him through this device.]
