My usual VD e-card website hasn't even been updated for 2010, that's how exciting the holiday is this year. Oh well. In honor of everyone's favorite unimaginative, consumerist-oriented and entirely arbitrary, manipulative, and shallow interpretation of romance day, I've decided to try something new, and present you with... the worst and best (

I liked Spike when he was an evil vampire, like, seasons 2 and 3, but after that...no. I kind of hated all of Buffy's relationships on that show. At least her relationships were more or less allowed to END without a lot of hemming and hawing and getting back together throughout the show.
Goes without saying I'm all the way with you on everything involving Veronica Mars. So I said it. I need more caffeine and to rocket launcher my neighbor's TV/stereo.

As for Chuck, yeah. This season would be top-notch if they didn't have to go there with Shaw. I actually didn't mind him for the first couple episodes he was on - he has been a good catalyst for Chuck's development as a spy instead of an asset. But if you're going to set up his backstory that his wife was a spy and that he's against workplace relationships now (presumably because of then), then, don't turn around two episodes later and have him seducing another spy. Dammit! I am totally okay with Chuck and Sarah not being together, but if they aren't, then they should NOT be with people who suck. (Hannah is okay. But I also know how many episodes she's signed on for. So, WTF, show.)

And Riley! I liked him when he was a nice, normal guy. I even liked him when he was a nice, normal guy except for the part where he was an undercover soldier. And then he started sleeping with Buffy.
le. sigh.

Strangely, I didn't really hate Riley a whole lot either. I didn't love him, but their relationship didn't fill me with the rage that Angel or Spike's did. I'd go with Buffy/Mr. Pointy as her best relationship.
