stupidest bumper sticker of the day

Jul 17, 2007 16:17

While driving home from work (I hate all people ever by the way), I was stopped at a streetlight behind a van with a pink bumper sticker that read, "walk on the wild side... have twins!" and I have decided that this is the stupidest bumper sticker of at least the day. Maybe of the week. It's early. I mean, honestly, how does one go about ensuring ( Read more... )

I saw a tshirt yesterday that prompted similar pointless quandaries. "A little hard work never hurt anyone...why take the chance?"
The chance that you might be the first person to be hurt by hard work? the chance that a little vs a lot of hard work might harm you? The chance that you might be hurt if you DON'T do a little hard work?

I was especially offended by the fact that said tshirt was being worn by a woman waiting to meet with a WIC social worker (I was at the county health department.). Maybe if she worked a little harder (at something BESIDES the oldest profession in the world), she'd be able to feed the two young children she had without government assistance.

I also noticed that I was the only person there excluding staff without visible tattoos. And. Less than half of the people there would've had visible tattoos if they had the sense to realize that the small of your back REALLY SHOULD NOT BE VISIBLE.

It's a sad sad thing that our world has come to, isn't it? I am hoping that some time in the future I will be able to buy my own island so that I don't have to live in a world like that. I will of course be inviting all people who think similarly to me to move to my island. Would you care to come?

All of those things came to my mind when I read what was on that t-shirt. Of course, I presume the user intended the first one. And, the story going along with it makes that seem painfully true. I think it might be SLIGHTLY more difficult to just have a ton of kids so you get more government money, but I'm sure it's still quite a problem.

My friend Becky from high school, her older sister has that bumper sticker.

If you're going to ask about the relative intelligence of her older sister, don't. Just don't.

Well, I'll say this: You haven't lived with 2 year old twins. I think. They're hell. Even when you're 9. :-P

Haha. I don't doubt that having twins is an adventure, regardless of where you fit into the situation, but I still think it's a really stupid bumper sticker.

Yeah, that bumper sticker takes the cake. I mean I can see twins being terrors, but it's not like, as you point out, ensure that you have twins! hahaha! Terrible. I can think of a lot more things one could do to "walk on the wild side".

That bumper sticker evokes none of the emotions that a bumper sticker should. It's just stupid. Granted, I find a lot of "stupid" stuff amusing, but still. I guess if you can find someone to buy your stupid stickers, go ahead and pollute our minds with your senseless crap. Where does one get these? Do they have to GIVE THEM AWAY? Hmmm... it appears that they almost are. Only $1 and FREE SHIPPING! www.doubleblessings.com/Detail.bok?no=68
