Nora is here and it's like we never were apart. This is fantastic.
She and Ben hit it off last night, which is a good thing, as they're stuck together tomorrow. :)
Charlie got in last night and Mom and Dad are expected around dinner. Mike and Rick's folks got in this morning and Josh is going to be here... sometime. Even I don't know. The kids are running around like crazies and I'm really thankful we have a YARD. :D
Rick's staying at the station tonight so, please City of Chicago - specifically the part in the response range of Station 22 - don't do anything stupid tonight. I don't ask for much, if I can help it.
I also owe the biggest kiss to Chief Marks and his bosses, because they managed to get the shifts covered for a few hours (between overtime and fancy scheduling) so that the guys can be at the wedding.
Rick is thrilled, whether he'll admit it or not. Those guys are just as much his family as his family is, and it's only right that they're there tomorrow.
I'm also waiting for the panic to set in. Which, honestly, probably should have happened about an hour ago.
And.. Mom's calling me for lunch. In the tone she used when I was five. O.o
