The woman paced the length of the hall way then peered through the glass window. There were a few infants ranging from a few weeks to a few days old. The child she was looking at was born three days ago.

She felt regret. She had agreed to work here. She agreed to act as a nutrition for the prototypes. She felt bad knowing that these sweet children would be used as tools. She should have never agreed to carry that little girl inside of her. She like billions of mothers before her felt a bond with the child that she bore.

She couldn't stay. She would go speak with Mrs White. She couldn't stay knowing the baby might be murdered one day or turned into a murderer. It was heart breaking to think.

It killed her. She wouldn't stay. SPX-010 will never know her mother. Five days latter Marian Fredrics would be talked into staying. She would forget her disgust. She would forget her disgust due to the cold threat given to her with a cup of tea that tasted too high class and too much like selling out to the woman.

She avoided Ten every time the friendly child came around. She stayed away from the cold soldier. And every night for six years she cried for the children who never got to be children.
