Reporting from the Amnimount

Nov 24, 2005 10:51

My new quarters are far superior to the ones I was using before. For one thing, I actually know where I am, and there's a window right down the hall that gives a lovely view of Kalis.

Dreadmoon invited me over for a tour of Kalis. It was quite an amazing sight, especially the fountains. Primus. I'd never seen anything that beautiful in my whole ( Read more... )

*a distant rumble between half-shattered towers reverberates through the city walls...within seconds a glint of silver is visible between the battered structures, and an F-15 jet arcs easily through the walkways.

*Landing at the great gates to the tower, a scarlet Seeker looks up at the entrance and the doors slide noislessly open, as though of their own accord, and he prowls through as though he belongs there*

*turns away from the window and wanders unwittingly down to the gates*

*after the usual argument with Nimbus as he entered, the seeker made his way through the plain labarynth of corridors in the lower tower, working his way up to the control room.

Admittedly he takes a little longer than he normally would on the way - not so much that anyone unfamiliar with the rountine would notice, but slower nonetheless; faintly curious at this new flier Dreadmoon had had installed inot the tower. From all the Monitor had told him - probably more than this 'Thrust' even knew he had given away - a meeting should be interesting.

Starscream smirked*

*Thrust mimicked his motions in reverse, interested in meeting his new guest. This flier seemed a bit different from the common "seekers", carrying himself with a bit more poise and flying through the gates in the manner of a resident as opposed to a visitor. Chances were he was a commander of some sort, perhaps visiting for inspections or reporting in. Either way, Thrust wanted to know who he was*

*he also made his way to the control room, intending to meet him in the hallway by accident*

*Starscream roamed through the halls and onto the next level - on his way, naturally, and the most likely place to house a 'guest'. Sensors on a little higher than usual, he catches a glmpse of an unfamiliar signiture a short distance away. He veers off down an oncoming turn and along the passage, smirking to himself as he catches sight of a strange grey mech. Optics glowing red and anticipatory, the smirk dims to an unnerving quirk of a lip and he sets his wings for an interesting introduction*

Looking for the control room, are you? *smirk*

*Thrust takes in every aspect of his stance and straightens his own body, looking the seeker in the optics with the slightest hint of "I'm better than you"*

No, simply wandering for my own amusement. I am a resident here; I know my way around.

*scarlet optics narrow and the grin flickers* Do you now... *wings hitch outwards, very slightly, countering Thrust with some hints of his own* You're new to the staff, then? *scarlet flashes briefly*

*The seeker shows signs of arrogance. Now that, Thrust can work with. His pose remains mostly casual, as if he has no reason to be worried about defending himself*

Something like that, yes. And yourself?

*folds his arms and tilts his head, the smirk still hovering about his lips* I'm here to see the Monitor. He's an...associate of mine. *flicker of amusement*

*there's something odd about the way the seeker says that. This is more than a routine inspection, the seeker has some sort of personal tie with Dreadmoon. But what?*

Then you know the Monitor well? I've only been here a few days, Dreadmoon has not introduced me to any of his acquaintances.

*lightly, inwardly grinning to himself* We've been in contact for a while. I know him about as well as he knows me, no more. *work that one out, if you care to!* I visit now and again to keep his interest.

*An interesting statement. Either he is foolish and underestimates Dreadmoon, or he does indeed know the Monitor that well. Not a monitor, though, he has the same energy signature as the other seekers*

Interest in what, exactly? You are business partners, old war comrades, simply friends?

Curiousity will be the death of you. *pleasant smile, but with a promising little undercurrant...* A little of each, to be accurate. Any more and you'd have to ask Dreadmoon himself. *inward snicker*

*It probably will, but he'd prefer to wait a while before it happens again. He doubts Dreadmoon will give him any more information, but he could glean something if he were privy to a conversation between the two of them*

Perhaps I will. Shall we go meet him?

*this time the laugh is let out, a quick burst of laserfire amusement* Hah! Why not?

*a terrifyingly anticipatory grin before he turns and moves off, glancing back over the edge of his wing to see if Thrust is following, still with the grin dancing in his optics*

*follows just slightly behind him, close enough to be polite. Thrust studies the seeker from behind, noticing nothing strange about his design or paint job. If he were offline, he'd look just like every other seeker*

What's your secret, seeker?
