Directoer's Commentary - Chapter 3
First of all, yes I made myself bawl.
Yay for skipping the infodump? Neku's fairly up to date the moment, but he won't know the Game the way Joshua does for several months at least. There's just some things that can't really be told, you know?
Joshua is trying to avoid touching Neku, for reasons that will become obvious in the next chapter or so.
Joshua made the pancakes for Neku more than himself - if you've fed them to him in game, he's kind of meh about the whole idea.
I swear I wrote half of this chapter just tonight. I just... I found my sweet spot for writing, and I just WROTE.
The names were semi-random, although I did pick Hibiki (the boy's name) for its meaning of "echo." I thought it was fitting, since the two of them will be echoing in Neku's memory for a long time.
Poor Neku. *pathugs*
