Okay so...
I want to rant. All of my friends on livejournal have had at least one long ass crazy rant so...its my turn. Well the OC is cancelled until November 3 so the girls couldn't come over tonight. Instead Brandon did. I swear to God Itake every second with him for granted and then when he has to leave i'm like "NOOOO PLEASE DONT GO...." But his parents think that I'm jumping his bones with my family in the same house. Thus, he must leave. Anyway we filled out stuff for college together and then just...chilled. But when we went outside, there was a huge breeze and now I am soooo stoked about autumn and winter. Mmm I love the cold. Ahhh yes...and snuggling outside didn't help saying bye either. damn him.
Sooo Newspaper. Last night was press night and I have to say I am kind of...surprised with the outcome. I bonded a lot with the newbies i think, especially during dinner. I dunno we all joked about random things such as fetuses and hairy man legs. I mean you got Alisa whos mom is a fucking former pothead, Elisa who works her butt off and stays so quiet its ridiculous...but shes sooo nice, Courtney who I have a lot in common with including good taste in music and our parents are like nazis on our social lives. We got Briana who has radical stories that you just gotta wonder if shes not making them up, and Mike (Mikey) who WANTS to be there and works on the paper even during his football practice. Ahh newbs.
So with some staffers leaving I got Sports, Centerspread, and the Front Page to design. I pretty muc devoted press night to the Sports page cause its going to be in color and that excites me greatly. I helped out with random questions that were being asked, and i ended up laughing a lot. It felt good especially since I had been sobbing the night before, not knowing what I was going to do. I was so scared that this staff was going to lose hope if it ever had any to begin with. I was so scared they wouldnt take me or their responsibility seriously, but they were soo determined and so...vibrant last night and then today. I was just really proud to be able to work with them.
I've decided that the time I don't spend hanging out with Brandon, working on ISM, or finding a job, I'm going to devote to studying design. I am going to make this paper noble even if i have to do it by myself. But i won't have to cause I have some really good kids backing me up...not to mention Goldberg who I think has realized that she needs to respect and appreciate her staff cause she was waiting on us hand and foot. Like no joke. "You need football pictures? I GOT EM!!! RIGHT HERE!!!" and she got like 4 three-liters of soda...for like...8 kids haha.
