alright, i figured i would do that works in progress meme that's been going around...just to see if any inspiration would come..at all..anyway, here we go!

1-Hidan and Kakuzu-GEN/Humour

“Just because you can cut my head off without killing me doesn’t mean it doesn’t fucking hurt” Blood sprayed from Hidan’s mouth and Kakuzu could only watch, aware that his mouth was a little ajar, aware that there was an inordinate amount of blood slowly seeping onto the floor, but not quite able to do anything about it.

“What?” He croaked, “What?” Hidan’s body lay in the corner, slumped and motionless, soaking the white carpet with blood. But Hidan’s head was at Kakuzu’s feet, yelling and spitting as usual.

“Big fucking surprise! You better fix this, shithead!” Hidan shrieked, whether from pain or anger, Kakuzu really couldn’t say.

“How?” Kakuzu stepped back from the snarling head at his feet.

“How do you think?” Hidan rolled his eyes. “Seriously, I thought you were smart”

2. A Composition in Charcoal and Pastel (Jin/Fuu, Samurai Champloo)

When Jin thought of his world he saw it muted. Taupe and charcoal, sketched over a canvas that was far too vast for monochromes. And yet the shades kept stretching over the canvas, black and grey and dull brown.

She wasn’t bright, not as bright as Mugen, who was all crimson and rich blue, splashed across a wall with no rhyme or reason to it. No, she was blurred, dusty. Rose grey and dusty pink, powder blue and yellow, like the sun filtering into a long abandoned room.

She would probably pout if he told her that, not that he ever would, but he knew that her face would fall if he compared her to anything other than a vibrant spring bloom. But, he was Jin, and therefore, it was not necessary that he speak at all.

3. Neji/Tenten

Their relationship, she was surprised to find, was perfectly functional. He was kind and attentive to her and she was affectionate without being overbearing. He bought her flowers sometimes and she made him breakfast. The sex was especially good too; the perfect mix of passionate and tender.

So of course neither Tenten nor Neji was astonished when it all went-for lack of a better word-screwy.

It wasn’t too bad, not at first anyway. Neji would make quiet, bitter comments about his family, or come home from a mission stormy and despondent, beautiful face turned down as he stared into his tea. And then Tenten would only laugh and ask him cheerfully, with a kiss, what he was “angsting” about, exactly.

His answers would be dark and cryptic and Tenten would sigh and figure that no one could ever change completely.

But when his answers became even darker, even more dense and filled with sadness and wrath Tenten began to think that their perfect relationship was a bust, that perhaps they didn’t meld together but rather jangled harshly, uneven and unmatched. When his eyes clouded over with unease and pain, pain buried to deep for anyone to pull out she figured that she had better leap out of the way, before it was too late for the both of them.

The idea took a long time to come to her. Breaking it off, breaking up. She couldn’t really imagine being without him, but being with him was becoming emotionally exhausting.

4. Kankurou, Gaara-early draft of a request that I turned into a drabble...I would still like to finish this up though.

[begin and end again]

That is your brother, Yashamaru tells him. That is your brother and if you are good to him he might take care of you, one day.

Gaara believes him then, because Yashamaru takes care of him and if he does then maybe someone else could too. “I’ll be good to him,” He promises. But Kankurou blends into the background, another faceless person who is afraid, and another person who avoids him.

And he learns, slowly he learns that his brother sees him only with repulsion. He learns that his brother hates him.

[crash boom bang]

Yashamaru dies.

And Gaara’s life-it never was idyllic, but sometime he could pretend it was somewhat habitual-ends.

He is alone, and he turns to the only sure thing in his life.

I’ll kill you.

And he likes to think that he would, too.

[if you ever feel neglected]
Gaara has never seen his brother cry. He has seen his sister cry, seen her grab him and seen her eyes widen at his tangible anger. He has heard her beg.

Kankurou says nothing. He leaves, with eyes that are clouded with hatred. And he teaches Gaara to hate with him.

5. Tsunade, Orochimaru-Gen

There were lots of things Orochimaru didn't like about Tsunade. She was loud, she was reckless, she was insensible, she cared far too much. She, he was sure, would come to some sort of bad end.

But despite the things he didn't like, there were qualities that he did like. Her beauty and her strength were not easy to ignore or overlook, and her laugh, her laugh that chimed every morning, the laugh that made him feel as though everything would be alright.

6. Reminder-Ino, Asuma

Ino had tried, really she had, to save him. She had been there too. She had wept too, his blood had stained her hands. But as he died his eyes did not reach her. No, they went to Shikamaru instead. Shikamaru, the gifted one. The only one who had become a chuunin three years ago, when they were all so terribly young.

I think that's it..god, though..this is depressing. I'I want to finish all of these, but i'm sure it won't actually happen :P thanks for reading!
