Okay, so in light of recent 358 spoilers I have a new idea.
Okay, so what if Obito isn't Tobi but Tobi is Obito? Like, okay, here are some comments: (and I totally respect these people's opinions, like 100 %...they make much more sense than what I'm about to say, at any rate)
If Tobi is Obito, why the hell didn't he go back to Konoha? Why is he knowingly going after Kakashi's group? They said it was Kakashi. Why is he knowingly going after one of Kakashi's students while fighting one of Kakashi's other students? After all, he did give his eye and life to Kakashi and said he was his best friend, so he wanted him to live.

I don't know. If Obito really was Tobi then what's his reason for joining Akatsuki?
Good points. BUT what if Tobi/Obito was working for the 'dark side' all along? What if he was just in Konoha getting info or something? What if he was a bad guy THE WHOLE TIME.
Granted, I have no idea when Akatsuki started up or anything. In fact I am completely unsupported by facts. Maybe I just wanted to say what if Obito isn't Tobi, but Tobi is Obito? because I like the sound of that. But maybe, maybe I'm right.
