Sometimes Tenten doesn't think that she deserves Neji. Sometimes when she looks at herself in the mirror, or when she is fighting and she falters she thinks that maybe she would be better off with someone like Chouji, or Lee. Then she hates herself for a little while, because those are horrible, mean thoughts and Chouji and Lee are both just as good as Neji.
But sometimes Tenten doesn't think like that. Like when Neji kisses her, so soft and deep, and when he wraps his arms around her, pressing her body into the bed with his own. And when he undresses her, so slowly, removing every article of clothing as if she were a goddess-a golden statue, something holy-and when he cries her name, as if it isn't enough, as if he needs more of her. More to hold, to taste...more to feel. And then afterwards when they lie in bed together, keeping each other warm.
Or when they are just talking, and he tells her something that he would never say to anyone else. And when they are on a mission and she does something so right that he smiles at her because now the mission is going well. Because of her.
Or when he tells her that he loves her, saying it like a prayer, saying it so that she can hear the truth quavering in his voice. When he tells her that he loves her she feels that maybe, just maybe she does deserve him. Because she can give him what he wants. She loves him too.
