Still fishing around for people to table with at London Expo, thinking of even attending UAL anime society meetings semi-regularly in hopes /sigh
theotherdenise and hakuku your free stuff is in here :D I'm not going by any sort of order in drawing these, but the other 3 will trickle out. This term I have lots of stuff to do and for some reason my brain is not oiled as well as it used to be and can't switch rapidly in between projects so I'll be even slower than usual at everything...

The Countess of Groan, from the Gormenghast trilogy by Mervyn Peake.
She saw him seven times in seven years. Then she forgot the halls that harboured him. But now she watches him from hidden windows. Her love for him is as heavy and as formless as loam. A furlong of white cats trails after her. A bullfinch has a nest in her red hair. She is the Countess Gertrude of huge clay.
Another scene I wanted to do was the death of the Earl Sepulchrave by owls. Blood splatter ink hmmm
and
hakuku : I don't know if this is the kind of Prussia and Hungary you were expecting TAT;;
"Austria! Austria!! Look who I caught laying a pin on your garden seat!!"
it turned into a willingly inflicted self-torture somehow, it was very relaxing doing the Gormenghast one so I thought "let's challenge with a bit of cg". very bad idea /wrist

Seriously I respect everyone who does their inking online, I have no patience with it orz||

messing around with brush controls in PS, digital colouring is so frustrating, I spent the least time on the fellas in the bg and they look better than the mains

for wamyne, ~*GLORIOUS TIPP-EX STAIN*~. I'm getting around to that Spain/Porto pic. A long way round, but I will get around. It's an art student disease.

and some character sheets; the pen ones were my first draft, before I raided the college library for photographs of Victorian pantomimes.
I am sad that the Theatre Museum is now closed and now only like 1/10000th of their collection is on display in the V&A. :(
Note that Harlequins, if a hat is part of their costume, normally wear bicornes which I reverted to a tricorne for "plot" and aesthetic purposes, and also I cannot bring myself to draw Arthur in a Clown wig (ie. screwing around with costumes)
Drawing Harlequin's patches and spangles is incredibly tiring, although I've now got to page 9/15 where they get out of the costumes and into the backstage area (stage machinery bg time T_T) which is the real reason I'm dreading drawing the rest of this....
