I was supposed to spend last weekend drawing FRUK stuff and maybe doing a bit of work but.
eurovision. I love you guys.
This week I am supposed to be making a television ident and half of my team are dolts have a very mainstream and MTV way of thinking despite our project brief telling us specifically not to adopt that attitude towards solving it. How am I going to get through this with anything above a pass and also not come off as a party-pooper who keeps asking the important question of "BUT IS THIS RELEVANT TO OUR PROJECT?" goddammit TAT
For some reason (probably the Engrish) I'm really tempted to make a US/Japan MAD for
this song...
From
this post. misobomber : "your desk"
It was originally the dining table before I took control of it. Not as messy as usual. I'm surprised.
wamyne : "something Arthurian"
Comrade, it turned into a mini essay. I'm sorry >_<
Tea! There is some Kiku tea there too... think what you will. :9
postcard collection (small but growing, sadly right now I have more Ita-chan and China postcards than Arthur ones) I bought the Churchill one not just because it was a vintage reprint... France is mentioned in the speech in the second line
Combined Sherlock Holmes collection of
chikotori and self. The Victorian era/Sherlockiana used to define my romantic perception of England when I was young. We have Sherlock Holmes mini-posters too and some Hugh Laurie dvds but I think that's quite enough lol.
About half of my Wodehouse stash. Wodehouse writes very funny English rot full of dated English slang about the English peerage, and the spines are classic British book design (who can miss that lurid shade of orange...).
szeras : "your favourite shop"
SORRY, I CANNOT PICK JUST ONE D: so there's a row of secondhand book stores along Charing Cross Road... (the one where I buy the most stuff from is Henry Pordes, on the left)
the cheap art supplies shop (also along Charing Cross Road)...
and a funky tea shop in Covent Garden that i always pass by and think is really cool and never went in until today (because I would spend too much if I went in) ... yes I did end up buying something :x
cleartempest : "your closet"
Mine's on the right. The not quite so funereal white-and-red one. The stuff which requires ironing/coats/skirts are in a separate wardrobe.
fightingoutside : "favourite thing in the room"
There's so much dust on my PS2 now ;-; 90% of the games we have are Musou series lol. The spotted, beribboned thing in the foreground is also my favourite... actually it is really THE favourite
Box : "school life"
This staircase. I expend much effort and energy going up and down it and a few others that did not look as picturesque so I didn't photograph them. Sorry no schoolgirls, the ones in London are scary and not moe. But the thing that will stick with me when I leave college will be this bloody staircase because 3/4 of my time in college was spent going up and down it.
gabriela_gosden : "view out the window"
Lately, the weather is always like this. I miss the sunny days =w=;; The clump of trees from the middle to the right is Regent's Park. Normally, the golden spire of St Marylebone Parish Church can be seen quite clearly.
And looking down. The house (?) with the rooftop garden sometimes has mysterious karaoke-opera sessions and on at least two occasions there was loud Indiana Jones/spaghetti Western music coming from it. I would like to live in the small white house in the upper left corner...
Bonus: random disembodied chicken foot
edohsama and self found on the street in Chinatown
