Thames-Riverside-tans
Boss made apple cake :D and it snowed today after stringing me along last night :DD
A while back (ok, December) in a delirious frenzy of OMG HETALIA ♥, I made up some Thames-Riverside-tans in answer to a project brief we had to do on London. Technically we were supposed to make a guide to famous things in London that was not a typical tourist guide yada yada etc.
I do not know how popular the idea was with the tutors but my fellow students were quite amused :V I had to draw them in a less anime-like style because gwailos-who-are-not-otaku cannot process animu and I might get failed by my tutors.
Tower of London.
Likes: ravens
Dislikes: tourists, commercialism, despite being commercialised himself (against his will).
When I thought him up, I was playing SW: Empires and that's how he came to look like Uesugi Kenshin (black version). orz
His pet name is tu lan face.

Westminster Abbey
St Margaret's Church
aaaagh I had such a hard time characterizing these, it was something I didn't want to include but had to because y'know, all tourists who go to London will definitely go to Westminster Bridge and have a photo of themselves posing in front of them.
Likes: tourists, tea, teatime, english peerage, money, processions, holidays, anything that can proclaim the supremacy of Britain, choral concerts (St Margaret only)
Dislikes: terrorists, demonstrations
The dragon used to be a lot larger and once swallowed St Margaret but now it's her pet and one of the symbols of England.
The Globe Theatre
Likes: drama, emoness, comedies, tragedies, arty-farty things
Dislikes: talking in a straightforward manner, rushing stuff
Despite his antiquarian looks, he is actually an American reconstruction of the original which burned down in Shakespeare's time.
If I was making a manga in Japanese about him, he would use a lot of Engrish.
London Eye
Likes: toys, chocolate money, Shirley Temple movies, meeting new people
Dislikes: debt collectors, annoying sponsors

The fee she charges is truly expensive, and yet people still come in droves to see her. Even more amazing is the fact that despite all the money that she's making, she's in debt. Just how big is her debt, anyway?!
Cleopatra's Needle
Likes: sunny and dry places, the 'Egyptian mystique', causing trouble for other people
Dislikes: the English weather, war (one of her sphinxes was hurt during the Blitz)
Apparently, she has siblings in New York and Paris. The King of Egypt sent them out to different places as a sign of friendship. However, her chief pastime seems to be inconveniencing others.
Royal Festival Hall
Likes: things that chickens like
Dislikes: things that chickens dislike.
...ok I included this one just so I could draw a chicken. D: The architect (whose name I have forgotten) actually described his work as a henhouse, and someone else (whose name I have also forgotten) called it an egg in a chicken coop. It was something to do with the structure of the place muffling the sound from the road (it's next to the very busy Waterloo bridge/Waterloo station).
There was one more with London Bridge-kun and London Stone-san but it was fugly so I'm too lazy to put it up.
