Apparently my limit for not injuring myself is about 2 weeks. Today during office hours, while using a razor blade to sever the adductor muscles on a large clam for one of my students, the blade slipped and cur right across the tip of my pinky... right across the fingerprint. And by blade, I mean the sharp corner of the blade... so it was deep and didn't stop bleeding for like 20 min.
So yes... I fail at life and now my finger hurts.
Anyway, THIS WEEKEND WAS PANIC AT THE DISCO WEEKEND. Also, there was a snowpocalypse.
Basically, I almost missed my M&G because it snowed a lot, the roads sucked and everyone was driving 30mph on the highway. I was a terrifying drive, I was sure I was going to die.. and the whole time, I was texting with Kadie to figure out if I was even going to make the M&G. I got to Providence a little after 5pm, ran 2 red lights trying to find the parking garage and then sprinted down the street once I was parked.
So I get to the venue and ask the security dude at the door if I can get in because my friend was waiting. He says he will go ask... and then walks away to do something else. I got another dude's attention and am super pathetic at him... which results in being let into the building. After some pacing around the lobby and getting weird looks from everyone, I figured out where the thing was... and got there halfway through Zack's speech about not being creepy.
THEN I MET THEM AND THEY ARE SO PRETTY AND NICE AND FULL OF SMILES AND I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING I SAID. I THINK I JUST TOLD THEM THAT I LOVE THEIR MUSIC AND THAT I HAVE THE MOST FUN AT THEIR SHOWS. :DDD I got my fanclub laminate signed because I didn't have time to track down a cd.
HERE HAVE MY PICTURE:
I PROMISE THAT I AM NOT GRABBING BRENDON URIE'S ASS. I VALUE MY LIFE AND LIMBS (DESPITE ALL EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY). AHSNHFLK'H; HE TOUCHED MY SHOULDER THOUGH.
AND THEN THE SHOW WAS AWESOME EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A BITCHY 14 YEAR OLD PUSHING ME THE WHOLE TIME.
Then I went to Kadie's house because my parents had no power (and still don't). It was scary driving in the snow with all the trees down. I had to leave half my stuff at my parents' until yesterday and it was just a mess.
but it was worth it.
