Providence Idols Live!
Alright while my laundry is going and I'm not going any schoolwork, I'm gonna churn out this review. :) Be warned that this is very picture heavy and there will probably be a lot of words.

PRESHOW
So I had to drive from Boston to Hartford to get things from my parent's house. (2 hours) Then I left there at about 12:30pm... got into Providence at 2pm. Anyone following my twitter will have seen my sad tired tweets about how I'd been driving forever. x_x;
I pulled up to the garage and saw right away where the crowds were. I apparently had good timing cuz the buses had just gotten there. I found a spot behind some girl and proceeded to people-watch and listen to some of the most bitter glamberts ever. Talking about how Kris had no personality/cheated to win and how they hated Anoop. The urge to rage was... strong. Also lots of people being all "omg Adam has to come out or I'll be so mad". The buses were just over the barrier halfway across the lot and various Idols would walk in and out of the buses, gathering things.
Scott came out to sign first. He was really sweet and stopped for EVERYONE who asked for pics.
While waiting for someone else, Adam walked out to get in a bus quick and then walk into the building
Then Sarver and Danny came out. Lots of fun interaction with the crowd. Danny got a foam crown from a fan and wore it down the line. Sarver was coughing at times, which made me =\. BUT I GOT MY PIC WITH HIMMMM!!!!
Meanwhile, Matt had come out... but had walked away with a security guard. He came back a looong while later from the direction of the mall. lulz. He really needed to shop!
After that, I met a couple girls from the Philippines and we chatted for a while. We ended up going to a Cuban place at the recommendation of some random woman and it was good. And none of us asked, but one of them is a member of ontd_ai. lol. Which continues the trend of talking to fellow LJers but not finding out until after the fact.
I found out after lunch that after we left, Matt and Alli had gone out to sign (presumably after the preshow M&G). THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THE SHOW
SHOWTIME
I had a 12th row seat in the front right section. I was seat 5, so not as central as at Hartford. But this time I had my new camera with amazing zoom. Which I think made up for it.
The place filled up pretty quick and there was actually cheering at the videos. Seemed higher energy than Hartford, although that may have been "almost end of tour" energy. On my left was a woman with her husband and daughter. She liked Adam, daughter liked Kris. On my right were a pair of women who I later realized were there for Adam.
Michael
I will forever maintain that his part of the concert is waaaay too short. He has really good crowd interaction and his voice is honestly great. He's said he's going to go country and that makes me a bit sad since that's not really my thing. The crowd around me stayed standing which I was happy about and I had a blast singing along. I will note that there was a little girl standing on her chair a few rows ahead of me.. and she kept waving her glowstick up really high.. so it shows up in a few of the pics I took.

Megan
This girl is GORGEOUS. I actually got some nice pics of her this time around. I like her hair cut and she was wearing a different outfit than the hot pink dress. Apparently she wore it the night before too? I hadn't seen the pics. The gold spandex made me smile. However I still think she had one of the least memorable (along with Lil) sets of the concert. Shame really. Hopefully when she gets to sing more of her own stuff, her personality will come through better.
Scott
I don't care, his stupid jokes still make me lol. He's just a very solid performer. Piano was just great and voice nice and smooth. I really like the thousand miles song in general. At this point people around me were starting to sit-down, which is so freaking lame. So yes... Scott. Sadly it is REALLY HARD to get any pics of him. The spotlights during his jokes is so bright it washes everything else. And otherwise the piano is blocking.
Lil
The other performance of the night that left the least impression. =\ I mean, both these ladies are fierce on stage... but I feel like there's just some spark of audience interaction that's missing. Lil is freakishly hard to get a decent picture of. She dances around so much, even when she's standing in one spot. The 2 women on my right were FREAKING OUT during single ladies. I was lol'ing.
Anoop
I honestly never paid much attention to Anoop until I saw him live. But his VOICE. It is soooo smooth. I know everyone always says that. But it bears sooo much repeating. People again were sitting for a bit (at least till My Prerogative) and I think I freaked out about it on twitter. Losers. I still maintain that his tie is the best thing about his outfit. And he wasn't wearing the shiny sneakers this time. Right around here is also where I started flailing and bouncing in place... for the rest of the show. I will say that the crowd was sooo high energy with the yelling.

Matt
Oh where do I start? Why is this man NOT signed? *sigh* He just pounds on that piano and flails and sings his heart out. I really almost cried during Georgia (omg i am lame) and I did the whole... clutching my hands to my chest and singing along during You Found Me. Pretty such the Adam ladies next to me thought there was something wrong with me. But goddamn.
Medley
I can never remember anything about the medley except for Beggin. xD Like.. the girls come on and sing.. and then the boys sing and it just erases my brain for a bit. I was sooo hoping for a jacket removal, but no one even went for the buttons. *woe* Oh wait I lied, I like the dueling pianos bit quite a bit. It's fun and the guys seems to enjoy themselves with it.
INTERMISSION
Then I waited in line for the bathroom. Forever. I actually missed the first bit of So What and was kinda irritated. Everyone was standing so I crawled across all the other seats to get to my spot. lol.
Allison
I looooooooooove Allison and all her spastic stage presence. I'm not a huge fan of So What, but Cry Baby and Barracuda just wow me everytime. The ladies to my right were seriously into Cry Baby. I will note that her top was showing mad cleavage. Her interaction with the guitarist is totally hot. I can't wait to hear what her original music sounds like!!! But again.. hard to get good pics with zoom.
Danny
This man has slowly grown on me somehow. I don't think I'll ever ADORE him, but I can listen to him. He's going country too though.. so I guess I won't listen to him for much longer. PYT got a good reception. There was SO MUCH CHEERING! I like Maria, it's a solid song and awkward dancing aside, he does it justice. And he looks like he's having fun with the dancing too, so it's easier to watch. I'm not too fond of the progression of his last 2 songs. It really brings the mood down a bit. His speech got tonssss of cheers. Somewhere towards the end of the final song, the lady to my right starts clutching my arm and shaking it. And going all "oh my god ohmygod it's almost time oh my god."
Adam
Right about this time I thought my throat was going to implode on itself. Although I was weirdly proud of myself cuz I kept starting the cheers in my section. It would be kinda quiet... I would decide to scream, the ladies next to me would pick up on it.. and then other people would join in. (ok shutting up now). WLL - people shouldn't be able to do that in public. The lady to my left who was not clutching my arm and shaking was like... mezmerized. I yelled a lot. Starlight - oh my heart. Sang along.. waved my arms. I feel like he was holding back a bit on his voice, not as many crazy high and held-out notes? Makes sense since there were still 2 more shows at this point. Mad World - I WILL cry during this tomorrow. Like sob. I did decide that I don't like the voice overlay they use. It's probably meant to make it sound all floaty and ethereal... but it just muddies up the vocals. Slow Ride - I will miss not seeing Alli and Adam perform together. They play off each other so well. Alli I guess brought the whip/crop out herself? I couldn't tell, I just saw that she was holding one. So much underwear on stage. Pink bra with Adam's name. He looks confused by it in the pic I took. Cute hug at the end. Bowie - *melts into puddle of goo* I'm surprised the woman next to me didn't pass out by the end.
Didn't get AS many great pics this time, I was doing a lot more just watching and flailing.

THE YELLING FOR HIM WAS AMAZING. He came up on the lift and the yells just kept going. He would like smile... wait... smile again... wait some more. It made me so happy. He sounded a bit sick still, but he totally just plowed through his set. Had sooo much fun bouncing around and encouraging the "grab and shake" lady to scream with me. He plays a lot more with the held notes in his songs and I love it. The soooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllllllllllllllll at the beginning. Oh god. Slays me. Just oh god I love him I don't even have the words. for srs.

I love Hey Jude and the transition into the end. So much cute interaction on stage between everyone. Adam and Kris did a silly little wiggle dance. Lots of laughing. At one point there was brief Danny and Adam interaction. Apparently Kris slapped Matt on the butt at the end, but I missed that. Alli and Megan did their chest bump. I think they're all starting to really grab those last moments and having fun with it.
And then the concert was over and I was sad panda.
AFTERSHOW
Went out to the barricades. Everyone except Lil and Kris came out. (I guess Kris' brother was there?) Funny Adam-fan story. This girl with a big pink sign that said Adam was standing behind/next to me. Adam came out and she started FREAKING OUT. Like "oh my god mommy oh my god he's right there oh my god i want him to sign my sign oh my god oh my god". I seriously thought she was going to cry and pass out right there. He signed the sign and she was like sobbing. Then there were some crazy Danny fans... and yea. Anyways, pics. I'm tired of typing!
