Happy Spawn Day to me!!!!
WooHoo! I hate today but trying to keep an open mind. I know there are going to be people who won't remember, even when I always remember their Bday, but that's how it goes.
Friday night was great! I went with my friend John to see X3, and then we went to Duffs to celebrate my Spawn Day. I'll probably post more about Duffs in another post, because I have pictures that I need to get up, but have not put them on my laptop yet. Overall I had a great time. Juliya, Laurieanne, Aerik, & Jimmy were there, and that was really cool. John was there obviously, but that's a given ;) Juliya and Laurieanne got me onto the Bar twice...well Laurieanne got me on there the second time. They are seriousy two of my favorite people. And Juliya got me a Bday gift....omg seriously, that was awesome! *loves her*
X3...I have mixed emotions about that. I constantly heard during the car ride how horrible X3 was, so that was pissing me off. So...my thoughts on X3...I definitely would not pay to see it in the theater a second time. The whole Last Stand title was kind of lame. If you're going to have a Last Stand you might as well have a really cool, massive battle. The battle at the end was kind of lame. I mean I liked it and thought it was great, but for a final battle, LAME.
Why, oh why are you mixing the Dark Phoenix Saga with The Mutant Cure?? It doesn't make sense, and if you ARE going to do it, DO IT RIGHT!! And you'll need a much longer movie anyway.
Angel :: OMGWTF!! For one of the original X-men, I was very disappointed! You see Angel for like 2 seconds (ok, once he breaks out of the facility, then you see him fly a bit, then he flies and rescues his father. OMG that's all he does...Flies around for a total of a minute the whole damn movie!!! ARGH!!! And his background story in the beginning of the movie, was absolutely not needed.
Beast :: Awesome! Beast did not disappoint me at all. I thought he was perfectly played by Kelsey Grammer.
Callisto :: I loved Callisto in the comics...she had a little battle with Storm, but eh, stop fucking up the comic characters!!!!
Colossus :: Oh man, so disappointing. They might as well had Colossus being played by a brick wall. It's not the actors fault at all, but he was not written well at all. The fucking fastball special...disappointing. It should have been really cool, but wasn't dammit!
Cyclops :: OMGWTF....not only do you kill him in the beginning, but you give him a SHITTY death, and then you completely forget about it until Wolverine remembers that he picked up Scott's glasses at the lake??? WTFF??? Why oh why did you do this???
Iceman :: OMGWTF...WHERE IS HIS SURFING ICE BRIDGE????? I always thought they'd make Iceman "cooler" as the movie trilogy progressed. Why did they not have him have his ice bridge??? :(
Juggernaut :: Juggernaut was awesome!
Kitty Pryde :: I wasn't liking Kitty until the end. Her interaction with Juggernaut is great!!
Multiple Man :: Practically useless. Could have been cool, and there was one part I liked in the forest, but other than that, eh.
Mystique :: OMGWTF WHY OH WHY did you kill her powers!??!?!!?!??!?!
Phoenix :: I love Phoenix and Famke Janssen. I was kind of upset that most of the movie she just stood around. Her acting though is what sells everything. I kind of wish they didn't use the CGI when she was in her Dark Phoenix stage, because Famke doens't need the CGI at all, BUT it was kinda cool, and one of the best CGI in the whole movie. Her death wasn't that bad either, although if they *did* make a 4th X-Men, I'd want her back!!
Professor X :: I love Patrick Stewart! He's just so cool! No complaints really here, except his "death." I mean yeah the clip at the end after the credits could bring him back you hear him in the body of that vegetable dude, but if they brought the movie back Patrick Stewart would HAVE to play Professor X.
Rogue :: Why was Gambit not in this movie? They could have brought Gambit in dammit. And then she decided to lose her powers by taking the "cure." Argh!!
Storm :: OMGWTF why do you need Storm in the movie so often?? LAAAME!! Seriously, you could have cut most of her shit out, and featured other mutants, OR gave some other mutants more screen time bitch! grrrrr
Wolverine :: I like Wolverine, but something was just a bit off in this movie. Not sure exactly what it is, but eh.
