Streets of Philadelphia (RP for tommyisabrat)
Steve stepped down Market Street toward the Liberty Bell, feeling a little uneasy. The last time he’d been in Philadelphia, he was helping the survivors of a bombing that Bucky had been responsible for. It wasn’t the most pleasant memory to associate with the place, no matter how well the city seemed to have recovered from it.
And that was the least of his worries. He was here to meet with Tommy - a boy who, frankly, he had no idea how to approach. The Tommy he’d known best had been a 12-year-old boy, his biological child and the son of two of his closest friends. He’d known him since he was born, and they’d lived in the same mansion for Tommy’s entire life. But in this world, Tommy was the 16-year-old newest Young Avenger, a juvenile delinquent uneasy with his place in the world, hotheaded and far too careless with his powers. Steve barely knew him, and wasn’t sure quite how to relate to him - even if this Tommy did still have some of the memories of the other world.
But Tommy needed help. He needed someone to talk to, someone to help him make sense of the world. And though Steve wasn’t completely sure he could do that for him, he was certainly going to try.
