What she found there

Jan 26, 2006 21:01

these stars in my eyes are from you
from you and for you
only you can make them shine
the way they do
and how wonderful to tell
from the stars in your eyes
that I make stars shine as well

what am I supposed to do
all the song lines are for me and you
wanting more than dreaming
but its all that I do these days

it might be
it could be

it can't be

...oh, but look at the stars tonight

Today was such a great day. I spent it over at Rich and Arthy's house. We've started our Thursday "prayer and progress" meetings again (as I like to call them). I don't know what Rich was thinking when he said we'd start at 9 rather than 10. I got spoiled with that the last time I was here. Its so ridiculously hard to get out of bed on cold dreary mornings. I set the alarm for 7 and rolled out of bed 45 minutes later- finding myself scampering down to the bus stop at 8:30 instead of the forcasted 8:15. Will I ever be on time?! Its my trademark move... But a few hours of prayer and many side-tickling laughs later, I found myself feeling delightfully productive and enjoying life as I sipped my cup of tea. And how wonderful to know that I am bashfully loved by a boy who so cutely tries to mask it with machismo.

(whispering) "Mum, ask Megan to stay for dinner so we can watch Lord of the Rings tonight. I understand it better with her around... and besides... she's fun to be with. Please mum!"

I prayed for a ride home to avoid waiting forever in the bitter cold at the infamous number 6 bus stop. And then Rich offered. Thank you God. :) And it was home to my beloved family. Lately they've all been getting sick. Toby stayed home from school with a fever on Monday. And then the next night I found from the hunched figure next to me at the dinner table that Nick had gotten it. This morning I found Oskar sprawled, moaning on the couch downstairs. All the boys have got it bad. :( I'm determined not to get it- in fact I have been overdosing on echinacea, oranges, green tea with lemon and glasses of water. Sadly sleep is not included in that list. Se la vi.... (Ah sweet Monday, I welcome thee.)

"Don't use the hand towels!" -Sigrid

Except for a sickening moment tonight after dinner, today has been the best day since the day I arrived. I could pour out so much more, but my lesson needs reviewing and my bed is calling over the roar of the last item on my to-do list.

Good night my liebchens,

Megsy
