My sister and I got Pokemon Black and White (I have White; she has Black). I'm still not feeling this gen's 'mons (I started with Oshawott even though its final evolution is ugly), and there are some features from the old games I miss (eg. town map constantly on bottom screen). But hey, it's a new game to play instead of replaying one of my other games or continuing to fail at FFIV.
A
rpanoncomm drawnon drew one of my canon OCs for me.
I colored it!
I know my shading job's nothing special and I totally failed at maniping some extra stuff I wanted on there (it cracks me up how everyone draws him in costume) but I love the drawing and their art style in general (they've drawn some other people's characters too). Drawnons are cool.
Sorting Skins characters into the Hogwarts houses over at
skinsfans lately and then contemplating where my RP characters would go are making me almost miss
hogwarts_elite for the analysis and level of understanding of the houses there (freakin' A, people, stop putting people in Ravenclaw because they're sarcastic or smart/Hufflepuff because they're losers/etc etc etc). Except then I remember I hated being obliged to sort and always put it off.
My birthday's coming up so I've sort of started thinking of things I want to achieve and I'm making a "30 before 30" list: Thirty things to do before I turn thirty. I just need five more (twenty-five before thirty doesn't sound as cool). Who knows if I'll do them all, but hey.
Our lecturers for Space, Light, and Text told us to keep a journal for the stuff we do in class or that we might find useful for our devising work, eg.
my current big assignment is about collecting images and what not with interesting lighting and considering the effects and how to do that onstage. I did go out and buy a visual diary but then I realized that I'm on the computer way more and find all my images and whatever online anyway, so I made
a Tumblog for it instead. Sometimes I think my use of technology gets a little gratuitous. Anyway, it's a mix of stuff I'm thinking about using for that assignment and my notes from workshops (my notes from lectures aren't going up; wouldn't want to bore y'all too much; not that I expect anyone to look at it).
Speaking of gratuitous, I am seriously in two minds about my theater classes and their attempts to find meaning in everything lately. One day
I'm pretty sure I'm doing a degree in bullshit, the next day we're talking about a light and how it's casting shadows on everything and I'm like, oh my god, this is amazing. :|a
