Waitlisted for FILM 222, the only class I want to do next year. 111 applicants, class of 20, waitlist of 5 with no word where I am on this waitlist, just that I'll be contacted if someone flakes out and decides not to do it. Though one of my mates who did it last year said that six people in her class last year were from the waitlist, so I'm mildly hopeful. Fired off a crabby e-mail to the faculty asking if my folio was considered (I'd think so considering I'm waitlisted?) seeing as it's still displayed as "waiting" in my online app, and also asking if that means I got into my alt course, because guess how many classes are on my Offer of Study? Yeah, just my two core classes and my 100 level English paper. Man, uni must be getting sick of my flailing at them.
I'm really looking forward to Skins gen 3 and US. The UK kids' bios and IC Twitters amuse me. I love IC Twitters (Glee's, though rare, are fun). I sort of want the two casts of characters to Tweet each other.
Really, though, US is shooting in Toronto and
it's obvious in some scenes (linked to first and fifth episode spoilers), most of the cast have recognizably Canadian accents (I was going "oh man" from James and Sofia's first lines in the extended trailer; Eleanor found oot she got the part), and
they're having a moose in a major supporting role (yes, I realize that A) they're probably joking about the major supporting role and B) there are also moose in the US, I saw Gilmore Girls, but it's
a part of the Canadian trope). Why is this set in Baltimore, again? I would have watched Skins CND/Skins CA/Skins however you want to abbreviate Canada.

Not entirely impressed with TV3 calling The Substitute Glee's season finale. The show's on holiday hiatus and we're behind; that does not make it a finale.
All the Xtranormal-made films about working at Disney that are popping up on my Facebook flist lately crack me up:
ODF is of course the most relevant to my interests,
character meet and greets are also priceless, and
the character breakroom is beautiful and sounds just like a CP or CareerStart. It's my birthday.
I don't draw often, so when I do, I'm pretty proud of myself even though I can spot the problems with it. Managed to fire off four drawings for RP last week, w00t w00t.
Too many OC ideas! Alternately I've been finding lately that I can spout on about a character, developing history and personality from the ground up for the OCs, but when it comes to writing in character I freeze. Guess I belong in academia after all. Or maybe I just need a prompt or something.
--and right after I whine about that freezing with character voice, somenon posts
this dialogue writing exercise. For someone who generally considers dialogue one of her writing strengths, I may have to try this to get my head back in the game with new or returning characters (Sharpay Evans,
witchesreign instructor?).
MOTHER OF EDIT: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn arrived hell yes. In the first half an hour they already managed to establish character, which is more than I can say for the original games. I like.
