Aratahi Rangers shares its hall with (among other groups) some kind of youth group or what we fondly like to call Sunday School on a Tuesday. The last couple of weeks we've noticed them making a TARDIS: Last week there was a box and a sketch on the whiteboard, today two out of four sides of the box have been painted blue and they have a few windows.
Next week we're going to cover it in Post-Its reading "Bad Wolf" for lulz. Sometimes we're kind of awesome.
Today in my film lecture we were covering sound in film, and my lecturer brings up High School Musical to have a bit of a bitch about it. Thing is, the photo on the slide is one with "Breaking Free" scribbled on it, so he eventually casually tosses out, "would anyone like to sing it?"
I sit and gauge the silence from my seat in the back of the theatre.
...
"Sooooooooooaring! Flyyyyyying!"
Lecturer's making :o faces so I stand up and finish the half chorus.
And yet this wasn't the craziest shit we got up to in this class today: Paddy screamed a la Psycho, Alan played a romantic ballad over a stalking scene, and someone else played some oddly fitting chords to the same scene before just resorting to Scarborough Fair.
Yeah, and then I fell asleep in the weird French film. Oops.
