It's officially a Christmas present but I'm allowed to use it now

Yeah, new laptop; Caryl's back. :D Just without her files. I'm also still installing everything of use so allow me to play catch up on programs and Facebook (who started the Flair craze again? I log in and suddenly have over nine thousand new badges) and RP tags (hi Divers) and catchups (cattrius, I'm looking at you) for a few days.
(Also: You know how computers have names for wireless and all that? This one is named Cheezburger. Sometimes I like to think I'm funny.)
Oh, Jorelle's debut was tonight (er, last night). It was nice. Cotillion dance went fairly well although I almost fell on the dip the first time we danced, haha. Although I discovered that apparently body tape fails on me; plus it was only getting the lining of the stupid top, the rest of the top was still trying its best to fall down. If I ever have to see balloons or the colors pink or purple again it will be too soon.
I started playing Final Fantasy VIII again. It's the console RPG I've ever gotten the furthest in before getting stuck (I was trying to get onto the Lunatic Pandora...when I was thirteen) but I started from the beginning. I'm getting better at Triple Triad! Like most people I now button mash through the cinematic scenes (or get up and eat, heh), but I'm kind of pathetic and actually really love the junctioning and magic systems in this game. Maybe because it was my first FF. And man, I'm glad I remembered that "Phoenix Down kills zombie" trick.

If you absolutely can't draw, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drabbles or icons or something instead.
