I just won talent quest! :D :D :D
I was singing Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy and accompanying myself on the piano :) I actually thought I did pretty crap because I was playing on the upright so I really didn't think I was loud enough ^^;
Other acts included:
Some Year 10s who danced while someone was trying to sing My Heart Will Go On and failing miserably because she kept cracking up
One of my old debaters who has a very pretty voice but sang her song (Because of You by Kelly Clarkson) out of key :(
This little singing junior whose voice is like mine - very musical theatre
A pair of singing-songwriting twins in Year 10 who sang and played on guitar this song they'd written themselves (third)
A comedy dance number - oh my gawd, the stripping (they had polyprops underneath but it was still a bit shocking (honorable mention)
Some Y13s playing When the Saints Go Marching In on harmonica, piano, glock, and guitar (second)
