The sports and cultural awards were last night in the banquet hall at Parliament, which for some reason is built around an arc (is that right?) of a circle, which made the speeches and the serving of dinner and all that difficult. Who the hell designed the Beehive, anyway? Me,
bouncinpanda, Sophie, Charlette, and other randoms were at the Worst Table in the World, as it took us forever to get up to the podium to get awards and we were the last served dinner. But! To my vast surprise, I got not only a coaching award, but a coaching badge (now the "debating" plaque on it is going to look all lonel on that big long ribbon) and a cultural merit award for debating. Who would've known? Those lunchtimes with the girls were good for something after all.
Instead of going to school, I spent today cooped up in the car driving up to Rotorua for this year's Fili Labor Day celebrations. Productively, I used this time to get to the end of Golden Sun for the nth time (well, I was pretty close already, but then I went back and did a sidequest) and then realize I was missing something (GS, one of the few games where I try to get every single little thing). I also started a drawing (more RP stuff...Meg and Ash are fun to draw), then promptly dropped my pencil and never saw it again. It should still be in the car.
Oh look, I finished coloring
another drawing today.
