Still Being Annoying

After struggling for some time to figure out what the heck is going on, I finally decided it was time to stop letting the best be the enemy of the good enough, and decided to put together the naval history website and get it uploaded. It is now up at navalhistory.leighkimmel.com, so you can see how it looks all right in Safari, but in Firefox the content bursts out of its container and spills out onto the margins that are supposed to be the sky-blue color.

I honestly don't know what's wrong in the CSS, but as I was looking back, using another machine, it appears I was wrong about it working OK in the earlier version of Firefox. I apparently checked it only using Taco HTML's internal check ability, which uses Safari as its default.

Does anybody know how to make Firefox display this correctly? I think it may have to do with the background images, but I don't know enough theory to say. I've learned CSS almost entirely monkey-see-monkey-do.
