A Bittercon for Kanpai!Con
This weekend is Kanpai!Con, a small anime con in Omaha, Nebraska. We went there in 2017 and 2018, but got dropped last year after the promoter decided he'd rather shoot the messenger than deal with a critical safety issue. It may have been just as well, since that convention had always been one of our weaker ones, especially given the distance we had to travel to it. We'd thought it had growth potential, but from some things I've heard, the attendance stayed at pretty much the same level as its first two years.
So we're at home this year, dealing with home repairs that seem to be stuck in a wait state. So why not run a Bittercon for the anime convention we're not going to.
