Bittercon: More Human than Human
Although Capricon is over for another year, I wanted to get in one last post on it. This one's a panel on transhumanism and the legal and social ramifications of these technologies. What makes us human, and could that something be lost if one goes too far with technologies like implants and prosthetics or mind uploading? What happens when different communities have different views on where the line should be, and the two communities need to interact on a regular basis?
