The last time we had an Independence Day this hot was in 2012, when it was also the Wednesday before InConJunction. However, that year we were having a dry heat, so while the temperature was hotter, it became a lot more bearable for the load-out process once the sun went down.
This year, we're dealing with humidity too, so while it did become cooler after dark, it was still muggy and miserable to change the van from the anime loadout to the sf convention loadout. I was almost tempted to just take the anime stuff, tea sets and all, and let the books hang. But this is one of the few conventions where books still sell, so I wanted them taken.
