Close Call

It's a good thing I decided to take the evening and slog through the process of balancing and catching up our checkbook, although I wanted to work on the writing. With three disappointing conventions, and some hefty expenses coming due this month, I can't afford to be flying blind, on a wing and a prayer.

And it's a good thing, because we're a lot tighter than I'd realized. I couldn't figure out why my balance wasn't agreeing with the bank's -- and then I realized I hadn't recorded a transfer from savings, to cover some bills that were due right before the Grand Rapids Comic Con money was due.

Now I absolutely must get the business pivoted to online sales for the winter. And then I really need to buckle down on the writing and get as much turned out as possible. I cannot have another winter in which I spend altogether too much time spinning my wheels.

money, business
