The mention of Coralville, Iowa at the beginning of this article is what caught my attention. Just a few weeks ago we were doing a convention in that city, so of course I would be curious about just how it would relate to dinosaurs. As it turns out, the Army Corps of Engineers did some flood control work there, and in the process
they discovered dinosaur fossils.
On reflection, perhaps it shouldn't be so surprising that they would end up with a surprising number of dinosaur fossils. Given how much excavation work has been involved in their activities within the US, it's pretty much a certainty that they'll come across fossils, and some of them will be of significant scientific value.
