Close Call

I'm still a bit shaken at how close we came to a very bad accident. We were driving home this evening, and apparently failed to see another car entering the roundabout we were approaching. Fortunately my husband happened to look up and shout a warning at the last possible moment, and we were able to get stopped barely in time.

It just reminds me how fragile life can be, how a moment's inattention or sunlight in one's eyes can keep a person from seeing something vital.

And why I really don't like roundabouts. I've had a few other close calls, but this is the closest.
