It's back, like a bad penny. Yet again the annual charade moves the clocks forward and we all act as if this somehow adds an hour to our days.
For me, it just worsens the burden of being a night owl in a world designed by and for morning people. The endless struggle to get up and moving at an hour that is considered reasonable by people for whom it comes effortlessly.
And while a number of states have voted to do away with daylight time, the Federal government seems to be balking them, which is a puzzle. Constitutionally speaking, it should be a Tenth Amendment matter, a question left to the states or the people. The only thing I can think of is that they're using the Commerce Clause to keep us stuck with this annual stupidity.
