China Cracks Down
The People's Republic of China has banned cryptocurrency transactions for all Chinese nationals, including those working abroad. This is presented as part of their damage control efforts in the wake of the real estate implosion, but it may well be an effort to increase control over their populace, as expectations are once again exceeding the government's willingness to further loosen its control over the lives of ordinary people.
