The Beauty of Foreign Animations

I would like to either see or make a BBC or PBS miniseries on Animation (similar to How Art Made the World), but focusing on more than just anime, Disney, Pixar, or Sylvain Chomet. I would like to interview, for example,

for including silhouette stop-motion animation in the Tale of the Three Brothers sequence of Harry Potter 7.1, which I feel is one of the boldest and more innovative ideas I've seen since the work of Spike Jonez or Michel Gondry.

Lotte Reiniger was one of the first silhouette animators in the cinematic world, a tradition which South Park and Russian animator, Yuriy Norshteyn, still use today.

In the case of Yuriy Norshteyn, his short animation, The Hedgehog in the Fog, is one of the best known animations to use Cutout animation.

I would also like to feature the animations of other countries, such as Ireland (The Secret of Kells) or Spain (David the Gnome). What are some of your favourite underrated or obscure animations and where are they from?
