The Vintage Mix
So, as one might tell from the various sites I posted today I spent my morning looking at blogs from artists and designers wishing I could make [or afford] vintage clothes, cool books and art projects... This all began because I had the song from Coraline stuck in my head (I was sure this was sung by Joanna Newsom) so I tried to find out and found this blog instead: http://studiokiekje.typepad.com/studio_kiekje/
I decided that I wanted to make a playlist that explored those feelings and surrounded it around that song. I will post it here once I am finished, but here are some of my basic ideas of who I think makes the cut:

4. the 6ths - (still deciding)
5. Coco Rosie - Madonna
6. Thea Gilmore (still deciding - my favourite and the author's friend - she is like reading a dictionary in Autumn captured in a song)
7. to die for - birthday massacre
8. Antony & Johnsons - Knockin' on Heaven's Door
9. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
