i dont think you or monica are getting the idea. i dont think anyone really gives a crap about the 2 dollars per person or whatever it may be, but if 30 or 40 dollars or however much is floating around in one person's pocket it's not all that fair. pineapple juice probly should have come out of the alchohol account because i think it was only used for mixing, correct me if im wrong. i know i didn't drink and a lot of other people didn't either. and no we're not food nazi's or a "committee", but like when we all throw our money in for food, we expect food to be bought with it. only a few people stayed in a hotel, i know i didn't so im kinda of bummed my money went to someone's night in a hotel. when i was in my tent i also heard someone say there was extra money left over and they were going to put gas in their tank, which also isn't fair. maybe the group could have been asked about the steel wool and stuff, we probably would have said yes but it would have been good to know where our money is going before it goes you know? there's really nothing we can do about all of this, because it all happened already so just try to learn from it. im not so concerned about the money but more the attitude about it. like monica was saying you guys should be rewarded for getting food and how it was ok to spend our money on other things and that's kind of the vibe i'm getting from other people too. i think buddy's on to something with the toys for tots. i don't know how much money exactly is floating around because ive heard a bunch of different figures, but if someone has an extra 30 or 40 dollars sitting in their hand, that kind of pisses me off.

I have told you this before, there isn't 30-40 bucks sitting in anyone's hands! Argh! And no one fucking used it for gas. And like I said if you really want the fucking $30 bucks then fine I will take it out of my fucking pocket! I don't know where exactly it went, it went to extra things for the trip and whatever was left out of that which was like maybe $30 if that, was probably used for the hotel. But I didn't come home will a single extra dollar in my pocket from any kind of fund, so yeah the money is gone. But this is seriously fucking pissing me off. You guys paid $10 knowing that you wouldn't see it again, so if no one told you there was a little bit extra then this wouldn't even be an issue. And like I said before if it was reversed I would never do this to you.

ok this is why there's a problem. im not mad at anyone, and im getting kind of pissed no one can talk about this in a civilized way. we're not "bitching" about our "fucking" money, so that right there is going to cause conflict. im not attacking you, im voicing my concern/opinion on the subject so don't think im like all pissed, because im not. im just talking. but anyways, the reason theres such a problem is because there's been about 5 different stories.

first off, the reason people thought there was 30 bucks in your hand is because YOU were the one to first talk of leftover money:

that right there says that you have an extra 30 dollars, thats why people think that's true.

then the amount changes:

"Kirsten didn't get an extra 30 dollars out of the whole thing, we ended up buying more things from the store near the campsite, and if anything she probably got like 10...."-monica

"I guess I owe you all $40 bucks since it wasn't an “approved purchase” from the committee"- kirsten

see so is it 0, 10, 30 or 40 dollars?

then people trying to justify extra money as some kind of an award for doing what they'd say they do is kind of ridiculous too:

and you say we spent the money knowing we wouldn't get it back again, and that's true. but we also spent the money knowing it would be spent on FOOD. im not saying it was spent on gas, that's just what i heard someone say outside of my tent. "i need to get gas, there's some extra money leftover so i can use that" that would lead me to believe it was spent on gas...and yeah monica said "..the money didn't go just to her, it went to everyone who went to the hotel that night" i also didn't spend my money on people's hotel room. i dont mind so much the extra supplies from town, but being asked if my money could be spent on that would have been polite.

so anyways, yeah thats where all of the confusion stems from. i don't have like a personal thing against you and im not trying to cause conflict with anyone. im not going to resort to cursing about things so id like to be talked to in a civilized way also. i just layed things out, thats how things happened and that's where im coming from
