Comfortably Awkward (Subaru/Ryo)

There is no logic behind the gesture, only a spur of the moment feeling. It’s something instinctual that starts deep into his stomach and spreads to the tips of his fingers until they curl into Ryo’s shirt and pull him in. Subaru is made of impulses, of feelings and instincts, of electricity pulsing through his veins. If that is what feels right to him at the moment then that’s also what has to be done.
Subaru’s lips slide easily against Ryo’s. There is no resistance whatsoever, only perhaps a sort of shy restraint. Subaru presses in, pulls in, demands more. It can be awkward later. Ryo tilts his head and parts his lips, and Subaru feels a victorious chuckle rise from his throat only to be muffled by Ryo’s mouth.
When they part, Subaru’s a bit surprised to feel Ryo’s hand slip into his hair and hold him close. Subaru leans in and kisses Ryo’s nose before pressing his forehead to Ryo’s. For a moment, they stand there quietly, breath mingling, lips tingling still. Then Ryo lets out a embarrassed little laugh, and Subaru smiles.
A step back and things are back to normal.
