I'd thought I healed my foot well enough yesterday, but it seems to have swollen a bit overnight. I don't think I can fit it into my shoe, and even if I could, I doubt it'd be smart for me to go in to work where I'll have to be on my feet all day.
I've owled Tom to see if he'll be okay without me today. I also took the opportunity to ask if I might be allowed to make some changes to the decor of the place. I mean, it's the first wizarding building that Muggleborn children see - it's going to mold their impression of the whole wizarding world. They've just found out that magic really exists and that they're part of something rather, well, fantastic. Do we really want to give the impression that that something is as... dreary as The Leaky Cauldron?
Don't get me wrong, I really do love the place. I just don't think it's quite reached its potential. I do hope Tom will let me do a few things - you'd all see what I mean about potential if I'm only allowed.
