i think i read this three times, since it was basically the entire first page of my friends today. [ x-posted everywhere, haha. ]

and each time i got more and more mad.

you guys dont deserve that. and im not saying that just because derek is my boyfriend. i mean that no band needs treated like that, or told that they sound like everything else. last time i checked, nobody sounded like time/distance. and i mean NOBODY. assholes seem to be in every genre of music, and theyre what give the rest of the scene a bad name. =/

ok so that jerk's post definitely pissed me off. There is there is any band out of all the bands that I've met who truely love with every fiber of their being, who really put that first and foremost, and that being music its you guys. you guys have given up so increditbly much just to constantly try to work and work towards some notion of success no matter how miserable at times it can be along that venture to your ultimate goal. that guy has absolutely no idea what he's talking about when it comes to both you and scenes because if he had taken a minute, just the slightest moment, to get to know you 8 as human beings and not just what shirt you happen to be wearing, how tight your pants are, and what your hairstyle is, and got to know YOU, then he would know how insanely and incredibly off-base his post is and how immensely insulting it is not only to you and scenes but to your fans who have been around through the highs and the lows and who are going out of their way to try to actually help you guys make-up and provide you with

as for the asshole's post.. every word he said was 'cliche.'
those are pretty much the same words every person that hates their 'scene' says.
