"More Said in Silence" and "twigmama"
In the past week, I have received some good fanzine lovin' from
taitumhaze and dewbaker.
taitumhaze sent me issues #1 through #3 of her 'zine, "More Said in Silence". She also added a letter and a Surfer Crossing postcard in the envelope. My favorite issue is #3, simply for the story, "That Girl from KFC". From #2, I will put that spinach roll recipe to good use. In ish #1, well, where else are you going to find articles about abortion and the infamous "Blood Countess", Erzebet Bathory, neck and neck? They are all informative and explain the trials of one young mother, who happens to be the sole writer of the 'zine. Well done, Teresa=0)!
dewbaker sent me ish #4 of her 'zine "twigmama". All I have to say is, I love the art and humor that is going on here... and the survival tips are not to be missed. The art is all the work of dewbaker/twigmama herself... and it leans more toward the fluxisms of Ray Johnson and the culture of mail art. Fabulous work, Suzie=0)!
So please, support d.i.y. publications, not to mention publications that are produced by fellow LJ'ers.
