Please don't end summer, PLEASE!
Several random updates of my life:
Even though I suck at maths and sciences and hate them, that's most of what I'm taking in grade 12. Shoot me. Here's my schedule:
Semester 1
-CALM (a grade ten life skills course that I have to take because it's mandatory to graduate. My brother is in my class. I have nothing more to say on the subject)
-SPARE (yaaaaaaaay)
-LUNCH
-BIO (aaaaahhhhh they put me in it cause they thought i was really good at it cause last year in grade 11 bio they made a mistake and instead of typing in 78, they typed in 87. I even told them it was a mistake and they totally didnt care and told me to keep it. Now I'm stuck)
- MATH ( o man i haven't taken math since grade 10 second semester when i took gr 11 calculus, cause it got all messed up last year...and now im screwed)
* The good thing is that CALM is wortyh 3 credits for the class part and then you do like first aid a WHMIS courses as modules for the term of the semester, but because I'm already ahead in credits, i don't have to take the module course things in the second term, which means that half way through first semester I'll have both first periods off and only have to go after lunch. That I don't mind.
Semester 2
- SPARE
- CHEM (OH MY GOD FAIL. I only got 72 last year....and i worked damn hard for that 72...crap.)
- LUNCH
- SOCIAL (This one's okay. no real complaints. yet...I have to take it cause its mandatory to graduate that you have a grade 12 social, which it wasn't in manitoba or ontario)
- BAND (Probably the only course I actually wanted that I got. I also wanted Law, but it conflicted with band, so they just like cut it out. they didn't even ask which one i wanted, so theyre lucky i would have actually chosen band. Jerks)
Now here's the news that's killing me. Grade 12 exams here, the provincial diploma ones, and worth 50 PERCENT OF MY FINAL MARK!!!!! that should be illegal! it's totally and entirely unfair! I'm actually going to fail and im not joking or being dramatic or ANYTHING!!!! I could work my ass off absolutely ALL semester and be doing well, and then if i have an off day or a sick day or something the day of the exam and dont do well, the rest of the semester and all the work i've done goes to waste and i fail. and that's that. Personally, I think it's bullshit.
I made pecan cookies the other day and theyre amazing. theyre actually christmas cookies, but i wanted them sooooo bad....
Oh, and there are birds living in my bedroom wall, right where the head of my bed is. I haven't been getting much sleep....
Basically i just really don't want summer to end. Now on to the good news...
I AM OFFICIALLY A DANCER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohooooooooooo!
The only thing is that when i went in to register, they only have two classes that are at my level...an advanced jazz and an advanced ballet that you can only take if youve had one year experience in pointe. and yet theyb dont offer any other class with pointe...so...if i was already dancing there and wanted to get on pointe....how would i start?...it doesnt make sense.
ANYWAYS
Hip hop and modern aren't offered, which i was rather upset about but i guess ill live. They do have lyrical, but its almost all for little kids. There's one adult class, but apparently its being taken over by the advanced dancers because hey want a lyrical class. I have no idea why they dont have one....but ya i guess we'll see how that goes. If t's a joke, my mom wont let me take it.
With the ballet, either it'll be good or i'll get blown away, just cause i havent danced for a year, and now im going back on pointe and straight into advanced. I mean, ill probably be okay, but theres a bit of paranoia going on...
and i have no idea how the jazz will go....with the exception of my back, my flexibility is completey shot, and im not in the best shape ever....but i guess ill get back into it.
Im really excited, it should be really good. Im dancing again!!!!! and the good part is, its only two days a week, lyrical on monday, and ballet and jazz on wednesday. So its not gonna take over my life. I might get into the competitive class that rehearses once a week, but it depends on how they do it this year, since i told them taht theyre method of deciding who was in it was stupid and suggested another. So i guess well see about that too.
AAAAAND as soon as school starts im back to being the new kid. cause with the exception of three people, everyone i know goes to assumption, and im going to GCHS. its gonna be weird lol, like to know all these people and then go to school and know no one. But that's okay. I'm planning on attending all the asumption talent shows and stuff like that, and grad and formal and dances etc. haha, I'm invading...
and now im going to go eat cookies for breakfast.
