Anna isn't even the one who picks out the dress. Her stylist does - or, at least, the stylist she shares with the rest of the Pevensies - and Anna leaves it hanging in her room for a day before she looks at it.
She'd half thought it would be something young looking, possibly in pink - the press seem to like the idea of them as children - but the black dress is not like that at all.
Oh, she thinks, as she takes it carefully out of the bad, lets her fingers sweep over the smooth black satin. It's beautiful. Queenlike.
It fits, perfectly - she gives herself a quick mental note to thank Jane later - and she stares at herself in the mirror, pulls her hair up and away from her face with one hand and looks at the way the material hugs her body.
Maybe he'll notice, she lets herself think, and then shrugs slightly, because if he doesn't notice her in this (not just as Anna, his friend, the one who he kicks a soccer ball around with in between takes - Anna, the girl, the one who has been aching to find out what he tastes like since day two
