(no subject)
sunk deep in post-vacation depression. back in rainy humid taipei & humdrum routine after 2 weeks of beautiful weather tripping around Hong Kong, Kyoto & Tokyo. no motivation to study chinese whatsoever. all my foreigner friends are gone. i have almost no money left. but at least jasmine gets here on wednesday.
also -- worst camera luck in the world: patrice dropped my camera on our 2nd day in japan. it broke. after giving him the silent treatment for a day, he lent me his camera for much of the rest of the trip. then he lost it on our flight back last night. some lucky mofo probably swiped it right off the plane or cab seat. GRR. i actually feel a huge sense of loss because there were sooo many awesome pictures on there, taken by both of us. including all the funny ones of us in yukatas from the hanabi festival. 太可惜了. so basically now i have no camera and almost no photos of the trip, except the ones taken with my crappy lomo.
i miss hong kong so much. and tokyo. and kyoto.
