Lucas and I are leaving Corvallis this week... for good. A lot has happened this month. I still have been unable to find a job here in Corvallis, we lost our apartment due to an overly rowdy, drunken roommate; and then I found out that a good friend of mine, John Roewert, died in a car vs bike accident. To top that off, the day after I found out about John, Lucas came home and told me that he had lost his job. It felt like nothing else could go wrong... and then we decided to say fuck it! and simply move to Portland. There are so few employment oppurtunities in Corvallis, and we were only staying here because he wanted to be with HomeLife for a year and pay off his student loans. Since we're forced to start over from nothing, we figure it's best to do it in the place that we actually want to live. I had my grandfather wire my college fund so that we could have money in the bank in order to have a sufficient "income" for people to take us seriously and give us an apartment. We applied for a large studio for $550 which is right downtown, directly off of the free busline. We both have job interviews on Thursday with DialogueDirect, which we probably won't like, but we'll do it anyway. It's on SW Broadway, and our potential apartment is on N Broadway, so it's a simple busride down the road.

We took a trip to the coast yesterday. Here are the photos:
