Oh man, that was a fucking great concert. The Black Crowes are AMAZING! live. They played songs from all their albums, plus some just great blues. They did this sweet version of "good morning little schoolgirl" (can i come home with you? tell your mama and your daddy, i'm a little schoolboy too). The show was almost two hours long, with very very short breaks between songs- though they waited the longest time before coming to do an encore. Like seriously, we were to the point of turning around and leaving because it was that long. But they came back. And played some country alt-rock songs. Very cool. My high school crush on chris robinson (there was a point where I was more into him than johnny depp- shocking i know!) came back with a vengence. The man is fucking gorgeous! Especially since he's back to wearing long hair and that beautiful long hippie beard. And what a voice too. *sigh* sometimes i wish i were a groupie. hahaha The only bad thing was we ended up in section with Springtucky's finest. I think at the end we were surrounded by all these crazy couples. One couple was basically having sex in front of us (Candice was sure they were tripping on x). There was the crazy dancers behind us. And there was the couple that looked like they just stepped out of 1988. They kept banging their heads side to side and just bouncing all over the place. It was ridiculous.
So, all in all, fantastic time. I feel sort of complete now.
