Allright, kids, this here is the real deal.
I almost wrote 'the rizzle dizzle' up there, but I couldn't have taken myself at all seriously if I had. Plus, I'm really white. Anyway.
Roo and I are moving! And we would very much like your help!
It's going on next weekend, March 13th and 14th. Here's how it's gonna work.
SATURDAY
The fun starts Saturday morning at Roo's house. I'll be picking up the truck at 9, and we'll be starting to load it as soon as I get back there. Hope to whatever gods you venerate that it won't be raining. But rain or shine, we're going to load up all of Roo's stuff and move it down to Newark.
Here's where things get interesting. If we have enough people by this point, we're going to unload Roo's things into the house. We're leave her and a person or two there to start moving things around orderly-like, and then I'm taking everyone else and going down to Sunnyvale to start my own move.
Most of what I have to move should amount to furniture and a few largish boxes at that point. Personally, I think if we're really, really good, we can knock it all out in one trip. Especially if we get sufficient turnout on that Saturday. Regardless, we're pretty much halting all operations at 5pm that day.
SUNDAY
Anything left to do (almost certainly only my own place) can be dealt with Sunday morning.
So! That's the long and short of it. We'll be stocking booze, Gatorade, soda, water, and other beverages of choice at the new place. We'll be ordering pizza there as soon as we're on the way with Roo's stuff. Thus, there can be breaks for eating and relaxing and such.
So this is where you all flock to me with your offers of aid. :)
Really, the best day to show is Saturday. I'm convinced if we get enough people, we'll be able to do the whole kit and caboodle that day and Sunday will be liesurely unpacking and filled with awesome. So everyone, please either reply to this post, or email me in private. I'll be happy to give you all relevant addresses and general timeframes, and we'll work from there.
Let me know if you can make it, my lovelies. Hope to see you then.
