Sneak Attack
Many things, good and bad...
Heading the first list, I just had a wonderful weekend; my anniversary with Glory was lovely. We were googly and moogly at each other, and I shall spare you all mooshy details.
Top of the second list, Cresal is going to be leaving all too soon, and that makes something low in my stomach clench and my throat tighten a little.
Lots of other stuff which I don't actually feel like detailing. Indeed, my whole point here is that 9/11 snuck up on me, inasmuch as is possible with the sickening media blitz. Don't worry; I'm not going to rant here. I have only two things to say.
First is echoing something I have heard from multiple places, and which bears repeating. Terrorism is so named for a reason. Its goal is not death and destruction; those are the means. The ends are TERROR. And what this country continues to do in response to terrorism is to be afraid. The goverment perpetuates it, and the media perpetuates it. And believe me, I know, I say this from my soft position of being relatively untouched by it all. But it still needs to be said.
