Trying to get back into this
Well after a long period of abscence i am tryin to get back into this.........so much has happened to me in this year that i dunno what to say or all that! haha well as i had posted a long time ago i had gotten married in January and was expecting my first child in august. well let me tell you that pregnancy wasn't that bad........it went through without no complications just occasional back pains. let me just recap august
August 14 started going to my doctor's appointments once a week now and this day would be very eventful to say the least ! well we had an early app in which the doctor was running a bit late so it was just sit and waiting for us to then when we finally got in to go see him he has to check me to see how i'm progressing which i had hope was something.....well he checks me and and asks me how i have been feeling which i replied with a "oh just sleepy and thats about it nothing else really" with that said he had a surprised look on his face which was hilarious let me tell you because my doctor is asian so when i looked at him his eyes were wide open . he told me that i was 3cm dialated already *(so i guess i was having contractions and just not realizing it! haha figures!)and that this baby could be coming anytime soon. good grief i can't tell you how i felt when i heard that. i was so excited i had to call my family and let them know!
well after that i became more aware of my contractions and was getting excited.......that night i slept as much as i could but was getting a lil worried because i couldn;t feel the baby move that much or at all........................so we ended up making a trip to the hospital that night/next morning......we get to the hospotal at like 230 in the morning and they monitor me till about 7 in which they told me to waitit out and come back when my water breaks or contractions get worse.......ok so that was a fun experience..
August 25 ........ i had went to my grandma's house for dinner and had been having lil pains all day/ night . so my mom dropped me off at home and then ricky came home and i still had the pains......i then tried to sleep for a bit and woke up about 2 hours later.....still having pains..........i started timing them and they were about 5-7 min apart and hurting a lil .....so i decided that maybe we should make another trip to the hospital so off we go this time we get there about 530 in the morning and now it's saturday august 26th.
anyway we get there and they show us to the room and i started chaning and all that....they monitor me again and the nurse said they'd do that till 7 and then check in with the doctor on call that weekend so we waited and around 8 the nurse had said the doctor has given it the green light and that we will be having a birthday today! i was so excited/scared it was crazy......around 830 the doctor came in and broke my water......that was interesting. and they started me on fluids and all that stuff and also on potocin which helps increase contractions so yeah it was going good i was breathing great when the contractions came and then they started to get worse so i asked for the epidural. my parents had shown up just as the anesthesiologist(sp?) cam so i said hi to them my mom was ready to cry and she was going to make me cry! lol well they left the room and the epidural was put into place. they had to do it twice cause the first time he couldn't find the right spot and surprisingly enough it didn't hurt as bad as i had heard it would..........well then after that everyone from my hubby's side and my side started showing up.............i think around 1130 12ish was when i really went into labor and they started preparing........the nurse told me that i was progressing fast i went from 3 cm to 9 cm in just an hour and a half which usually it take for first time mom's a cm an hour........it was tough let me tell you the pushing was hard but i knew i wanted my baby so i gave i tmy all the doctor had to do and episiotomy to make some room for the baby but but i didn't care anything to get my baby into the world. so i pushed and then the doc tells me to stop. i found out later from my mom that the baby had her cord around her neck wrapped twice but that it wasn't dangerous cause it hadn't been tight. at 12:59 pm Liliana Sierra Cardenas came into this world : finally she was here! i just cried and cried...i can't explain what i felt i was so happy that she was finally here after all that waiting and it was crazy........
after that day it's been going so fast ......on tuesday we celebrated her first month with us i can hardly believe it!
