(no subject)
So today I participated in the time honored 'Thesis filing scavenger hunt' There were colorful forms, interesting characters and the surreal moment when we were told to go three windows down, where we were met by the same woman who had told us to move to that window. But, the point is I have in my hot little hands an official document saying I have a Ph.D so yays! I owe almost my entire f-list comments, so if you see me commenting on old fics, it's just me playing catch-up.
In more nerve-wracking news, they want me to give a speech at commencement. Ummm...can anyone give me some advice on this? I've given plenty of presentations, but what the heck do I say in a commencement speech?
(Just to clarify, it's the department commencement, not the all-school one.)
